The LG Tone Infinim is one of the best stereo bluetooth wireless earbuds in the sub $150 category. The Infinim is the premium version of the popular LG Tone series. Stylish and sexy with a glossy metallic finish, the Infinim comes in three colors: Silver, Black, and White. The Infinim is worn around the neck, and the earbuds retract with a single button press making wire management sleek and easy. Weighing only 1.83oz, the Infinim is feather light and perfect for wearing all day; you will forget it’s even there when you’re not using it. Runners have no issues with the Infinim falling off, and it holds up to sweat well. The infinim comes with three different earbud sizes in the box, so you’ll likely find one that’s a good fit.
On your left (while wearing the Infinim), you have easy access to the phone Answer/End button and the volume control slider. On your right side, you will find the Play/Pause button and a slider that skips your music forward and backwards. The On/Off switch and earbud retraction buttons are on the inside edges.
The Infinim has sound and vibration alerts to inform you of incoming messages and calls. On Android devices, it reads your SMS messages. This cool feature enables you to satisfy your curiosity (who texted me?) without interrupting your workout or run.
The Infinim will also announce the current time and battery status. LG G3 owners get two additional features:
- Name Alert: Announces the name or phone number of the caller
- Answer Me+: When you raise the G3 to your ear, the Infinim automatically disconnects for you to take the call directly on the G3 phone.
The battery life is excellent. LG claims up to 17 hours of talk time and 14 hours of music play time. User experience varies, but a fully charged Infinim will generally last a full day of heavy use. LG teamed up with Harman Kardon to produce the speaker and sound technology, and users generally agree that music sounds great on the Infinim, although it will not beat a premium pair of wired headphones. Phone calls sound great on both ends. The microphone on the Infinim is right next to your mouth and picks up your voice load and clear, however the microphone also picks up background noise during calls. If you attempt calls in a noisy environment, be prepared for complaints on the other end of the line.
